Spring Member and Student Scholarship Art Show

This year, our Spring Member Show will be held at Tidewater Community College Visual Arts Center. One of the premier events in CBAA’s repertoire of shows held throughout the year, this event showcases not only CBAA member art but also art from many talented student artists in our area. The show culminates in the highlight of our organization’s focus for the year; awarding scholarships to students pursuing education in the arts.

PresentingArtists: show 2-3 pieces of your art with awards presented at the reception held May 11th from 5-8 PM. First, Second, Third Place and 2 honorable mention awards will be given. Additionally, CBAA will recognize our student scholarship artists with awards in First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention categories awarded as scholarships to pursue higher education opportunities.

For CBAA members, Fee to entry $50. We will be accepting two-dimensional as well as three-dimensional work (Pottery & sculptures). So, get those beautiful, creative pieces submitted! All artworks must be ready to hang - meaning, unless gallery wrapped and painted on all sides, all photographic and painted pieces must be framed and wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers please. Labels with your information to be placed on the back of your work for submission/delivery is available via the member submission form button included on this page. The Gallery will be providing templates for the labels which will be provided to participating artists. Please download and fill in the required information when dropping off your art.

Important Dates:

• Applications open March 4th to upload art to be in the Show

• Applications close April 17th - All artwork confirmed for show

• Monday, April 27 - Friday, May 1, 10am - 4pm - Artwork drop-off/delivery to TCC @ Visual Arts Center

• May 11th Reception 5PM-7PM, Awards & Scholarships

• Monday, June 22 – Friday, June 26- Artwork pick up as coordinated with Curator Visual Arts Center
